I just logged on to my Bank of America checking account and notice a total of nine unauthorized charges against my checking account. Each charge is exactly identical and appears as follows:

CHECKCARD 03/04 QVC 800-367-**** PA

$33.63 Temporary merchant authorization

Amount may change - waiting for final amount from merchant

I'm the sole owner of this account and I'm the only one that has access to my debit card. What do these charges refer to? Can anyone explain to me how this happened? I will definitely be contacting Bank of America first thing in the morning to report this unauthorized activity.

Location: Washington, District Of Columbia

QVC you need to start requesting thev3 diget code on the back of the card. I had several fraudulent charges yesterday.

I just found one on mine too

Just be sure you have not ordered with QVC on an Easy Pay plan. I ran into this myself and could not figure out the two small payment amounts on my bank account. I logged into my QVC account and realized I was on a 5 payment plan with two items I purchased.

I had the same problem as well, the exact same merchant (QVC 800-367-**** PA) charged me with (222.26 Singaporean Dollars). I am using an OCBC Bank in Singapore. :( :(

Wish I could make it better for you, unfortunately I'm no longer there. Multiple authorizations are commonplace and nothing is done but to send an email to the corporate office which takes 5-7 business days to address, meanwhile your account is overdrawn.

Yes QVC will agree to reimburse you for NSF fees, but YOU have to jump through hoops to get that done. This is not fair because most of the time it is QVC's error that these authorizations were incurred. Just don't shop there, plain and simple.

For that very reason and others I don't work there anymore - I am too ethical a person to foster an environment that truly doesn't care about customer service. Good luck.
